Storytelling has formed an intrinsic part of the Covid-19 pandemic through journalism and other media, including social media exchanges.
This session looks at forms of literary and narrative engagement with plague, disease and crisis from the 19th century to the present day.
For this, Daniel Carey (National University of Ireland, Galway) will be joined by Marysa Demoor, Ghent University (Belgium),The European university network ENLIGHT, of which the Uppsala University is a founding member, brings together nine comprehensive, research-intensive universities from nine European countries (Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden), training over 300,000 learners per year and sharing a deep commitment to their social responsibility.
The lectures bring together scientists and researchers from across the network to discuss different perspectives and approaches to the changes Covid-19 has brought into our world.
Each one-hour long session will consist of short lectures showcasing the researchers‘ current projects, followed by a joint Q&A session to discuss the audiences‘ questions and perspectives.
The session will be available as a live Zoom session and a YouTube live-stream.
Zoom and YouTube links will be published 15 min before the event starts.
